The Chuck Box: Outdoor Convenience & Storage
The Chuck Box is designed for ultimate functionality, featuring a custom fold-down table, four storage shelves, and a removable bottom shelf for storing pots and pans. The door is paneled, and the entire unit is cedar-lined, with cedar shelves adding a rustic yet durable touch. To enhance outdoor dining comfort, ceiling-mounted lighting and speakers are installed.
The photos below showcase the table in both open and closed positions, along with the removable shelf and drop-in space for pots and pans. This setup ensures easy access while keeping everything neatly stored when not in use.
Entryway & Sleeping Area
Upon entering the trailer, a large step to the bed doubles as a boot box and storage area. When closed, it serves as an extra seating space. The two different height levels exist because the left seating area swings open to create a second bed. Further down the page, you can see this bed transformation in action.
The interior is finished with high-quality oak paneling, while storage boxes and extra seating/bed areas are carpeted to match the upper bed. Forward of the main sleeping area, custom cabinets with shelves provide additional storage. Ceiling lights are installed according to the customer’s design, with panels fitted after wiring and insulation are in place.
Ceiling Lighting & Installation
The ceiling lights were installed according to the customer’s design preferences, ensuring both functionality and aesthetics. Proper lighting placement enhances visibility and ambiance throughout the space.
Before installing the ceiling panels, all wiring and insulation were carefully completed to ensure a clean and seamless finish. This step is crucial for maintaining an organized and efficient interior while keeping electrical components safely concealed.
Flooring, Water System & Electrical Components
The customer’s flooring choice is installed early in the customization process. In this case, they opted for linoleum, but wood planking and other flooring options are available. A freshwater tank is positioned under the seating area, with a water pump switch placed within easy reach. The converter and wiring are installed under the first storage box.
The refrigerator was placed to be easily accessible from the Chuck Box area outside, making food and beverage storage convenient during outdoor dining and cooking.
Convertible Bed & Custom Cabinetry
To the left, the extra bed in its closed position functions as seating, with recessed and removable support legs. On the right, the bed is fully open, utilizing a futon cushion that doubles as a comfortable seating area when closed.
Above the seating area, custom cabinets provide additional storage. The kitchenette includes a custom counter, a microwave stand with an integrated light and towel rack, and a swivel TV stand. Various Formica selections are available for the countertop finish.
Bathroom & Additional Storage
The bathroom features a spacious shower stall, and a hanging closet on the right side maximizes storage efficiency. Throughout the entire unit, custom cabinets ensure ample storage, keeping everything organized and easily accessible.
This fully customized interior balances functionality, comfort, and aesthetic appeal, designed specifically to meet the customer’s needs.
