Technical Support

RVs may occasionally experience technical issues. Here are some common troubleshooting tips:

Electrical Problems

  • Check the power source, including shore power connections and battery levels.
  • Inspect circuit breakers and fuses for tripped or blown units.
  • Examine wiring for loose or corroded connections.

Plumbing Concerns

  • Inspect hoses, connections, and valves for leaks or blockages.
  • Ensure water filters are clean and properly installed.
  • Check the water pump for proper functionality.

Heating and Cooling Systems

  • Clean vents and air filters regularly to maintain airflow.
  • Verify the thermostat is set correctly and functioning properly.
  • Inspect propane lines for leaks if your heating system relies on gas.

Check Your Seals

It is recommended that you (or someone else):

  • Check the sealant on your roof and slide-outs once every six months for gaps, peeling, shrinkage, etc.
  • Be aware that even a small opening can lead to a BIG and COSTLY problem.
  • Understand that a slide-out may need complete rebuilding if water enters through a gap in the sealant. Often, there may be no visible evidence of water damage inside until it’s too late.
  • Watch for soft spots on the floor, which could indicate hidden wood rot caused by undetected water damage.
  • Regularly inspect all seals along sidewalls, windows, etc., to prevent similar issues.
  • Note: that insurance companies may not cover this type of damage as it is often considered a “maintenance item.”
